The pharmaceutical trading company “Medicata” was established. In the same year, the company obtained a license for the distribution of medicines and the production of special medical purpose products. Operations began in Vilnius, in rented premises of the “Justiniškės Pharmacy”.
The initial product range included pollen tablets, vitamin C preparations, and an oil-based propolis extract.
The pharmaceutical manufacturing company “Medicata Filia” was founded. The company obtained licenses for the production and distribution of medicines, as well as permits for the manufacturing of food supplements and cosmetic products. Operations were carried out in the premises of the “Šeškinė Pharmacy” in Vilnius.
Part of a building in Aukštieji Paneriai, Vilnius, was acquired for manufacturing purposes. In 2003, “Medicata” was reorganized and merged into “Medicata Filia”, which continued the operations.
The reconstruction of the facilities was completed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements, and in 2004 operations in rented premises were discontinued.
A Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) system for medicinal products was implemented and certified, ensuring high product quality standards.
A research and technological development infrastructure project was implemented, including the construction of a laboratory extension.
In 2013, a modern laboratory for product quality control was established.
The company acquired full ownership of the building in Aukštieji Paneriai, Vilnius, further strengthening its manufacturing base in Lithuania.
